I thought when he meant male cue shafts, he was referring to those where the pins are on the shafts instead of inserts.

Are you talking about a carom cue type of taper? A straight taper from joint to the tip more or less.

Great way to learn how to do a pro taper and not mess anything up. Practice smoothing those conical's down. Easier than buying blanks and turning them down.

You have no idea , I don't do pro tapers. i do cut and taper my own shafts. I will not do a pro taper

i recently played with a cue that was perfect, someone talked me out of buying it . it got sold. i want to find or make a shaft that hits like the one i missed

comical tapers are a one time shot, cant mess one up cutting it yourself. It also has less deflection than the whippy pro taper the feels so good when you stroke it , but wonder why the damn ball went the wrong way?

Are you wanting blanks to make your own shafts from? Pretty hard to tell reading through the posts.

The Customs are. 2 of the standard shafts are like new. Excellent condition. I'm obsessive about my equipment. Enjoy taking care of it. They would pass for new. The older Joss shaft is heavy old growth maple. Darker patina from age but in very good condition nonetheless, for a 40 + plus year old shaft. Make me an offer on that one. Can send pics of everything.
