I just recieved the cue Monday. I finally got to play with it for a few hours yesterday and I think it plays great. I'm not sure how to describe the hit other than it feels much different than my SW. I guess I would call it a soft hit. I let the guy I was playing with shoot a few shots with it and he said that he's used to more feedback but he liked the hit. He called it a quiet hit. I thought I was getting more feedback but on second thought maybe it's just different. Either way, I like the hit a lot.

I will be playing with it for the next week or so, so if anyone in the Denver area wants to see it or try it out, let me know. I'm going to try and get some quality pool time in over the long weekend so I'll be around.

Visually, it's not really my cup of tea, but the snakewood is striking. I will probably order one of Mr. Starkey's cues for myself but with some bright butterfly splices. I will post more about the cue if anything new comes to me.

I have two fairly new Starkey cues. One of them is back with him now getting a 2nd shaft, and this is the cue I plan on using, although the other cue also plays well and I am using it until I get the other one back. I play one pocket most of the time anymore and prefer the cue with the ivory joint & ferrule. Both cues play well and his pricing is very reasonable for the quality you are getting. I'm sure you will be happy with yours. John Henderson

Wonderful cues...............flat out........period

I have a Euro/Millitary version of the refund cue, right now it is downrange being demoed by some troops, I will have it back soon and it will be ready to head out to the next customer. Contact me if you want to get on the list!!!

Chuck makes great playing cues at a VERY reasonable price. That wood pin sure gives the cue a particular feel.

Starkey cues play exceedingly well. The more I mine the more I like them and I was gung ho about them to begin with. I honestly cannot say enough about the hit and the finish. Top drawer stuff. There's one on ebay now. Search for Starkey.
