I just recieved the cue Monday. I finally got to play with it for a few hours yesterday and I think it plays great. I'm not sure how to describe the hit other than it feels much different than my SW. I guess I would call it a soft hit. I let the guy I was playing with shoot a few shots with it and he said that he's used to more feedback but he liked the hit. He called it a quiet hit. I thought I was getting more feedback but on second thought maybe it's just different. Either way, I like the hit a lot.
I will be playing with it for the next week or so, so if anyone in the Denver area wants to see it or try it out, let me know. I'm going to try and get some quality pool time in over the long weekend so I'll be around.
Visually, it's not really my cup of tea, but the snakewood is striking. I will probably order one of Mr. Starkey's cues for myself but with some bright butterfly splices. I will post more about the cue if anything new comes to me.
