Want to provide a little feedback on a cue that I just got from Mr. Starkey. Link above has the pictures and specs.

BLUF(Bottom line up front): I have bought quite a few cues in the last year and this Starkey cue is my favorite and it won't be the last one I buy from him.

Initial observations:

- Feel = Feel is subjective, but to me this is what a cue is supposed to feel like when it hits the cue ball (nice and solid) and the feedback you get is superb. Not sure, but might have something to do with the wood pin.

- Cue ball control/movement = I have never shot with a cue where I have as much control and movement of the cue ball. I can do more with this cue than I can with cues that have LD shafts

- Looks - I like the old school looks of this cue and finish is really good.

IMHO, if you considering a purchase of a cue you should at least consider one of Mr. Starkey's cue.

Thanks and Aloha
Randy

Starkey cue is one of my favorite cues. It comes with the great design and feature which gives best feel and perfect shot on a cue ball.

Did you leave it ferrule-less? Always wondered how they play with no ferrule.

Thanks for the review, Randy, hope you are well! Been curious about Starkey cues (primarily because of the wood pin, of course) myself for a while already. Also curious to hear if you left the shaft ferrule-less (seems this came with the option), and what you think of it.

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

I hit 5 balls with my Starkey cue. After that I set it down, got on my phone, and ordered another shaft. Probably the best hitting cue I've ever played with.
