Starting Junior Leagues?

Anyone have any thoughts on getting junior leagues started? I'd like to approach the local schools and town rec departments with a proposal to add pool to the list of activities they support.

The local bowling alley offers a $10 2 hour play with shoe rental package.

I'd like to do something along those lines but include an instructional time & some information on the benefits of play.

Would LOVE ideas and info!

Good idea,I have been saying this for years that if you don't get it as a recognized sport in schools the industry will starve.

Junior League

I work for poolplayerstournament.com Our goal is to establish and amateur tournament and work out way into Junior Leagues. Our tournament format will pay in College Scholarship money instead of cash.

check into www.billiardeducation.org, might be a good place to start. They do some great things with youth in pool. Laura is the Executive Director. Good luck!
