Starting to like calling shots now

I finally got to play 10-ball with someone who is familiar with the rules. I like the fact that "slop" doesn't count unless it's called. I called a safety, but somehow still made a ball in and I was forced to shoot the next shoot. My opponent had ball in hand the next turn. I think this seems a bit more fair, although less forgiving than 9-ball. And this is coming from someone who enjoys shooting 9-ball.

I agree with these rules! No slops No more. All shots called, if a shot is missed and the incoming player is safed, that incoming player has the option to give back the shot. I agree to these rules because it tests the skill of the players. The better player in that match will win. The only luck in this kind of game is the very low percentage shot that a player shoots into a called pocket and misses and by some miracle the called ball flies around the table and falls into the called pocket. If you win like that......the pool gods like you.
