Here are some results from the Fedor Gorst vs. Tony Chohan One-Pocket match played August 18-20, 2023 at Railyard Billiards & Sports Pub in Louisville, Kentucky. Pay-per-view live streaming was provided by Railyard Billiards on xpool.live.

This match was a 3-day race to 21 games, with play stopping each day when the leader reached multiples of 7. The commentators were Jeremy Jones (remotely), Darren Appleton (remotely), and, occasionally, Kyle Ferguson (room owner). Gorst won the match 21-9.

Conditions
-- The conditions for this match included:
- Diamond 9-foot table with 4¼" corner pockets;
- blue Simonis cloth, not new;
- Aramith Tournament balls with a black-spots cue ball;
- triangle rack;
- rack your own with alternating breaks;
- cue-ball fouls only unless multiple balls are moved;
- no shot clock; and
- lag for opening break on Day 1 (won by Chohan)
- I heard no mention of whether it was loss of game for committing 3-consecutive-fouls and whether it was a re-break if a ball was made on the break. Those situations did not occur.

Two things caught my eye.... The Ooops in game 7 and that Chohan had more 1-ball runs than Gorst.

Thanks for the stats.

Well, there's also the final result. Lordy. That win ratio indicates a 125 point FargoRate difference. They are actually 60 points apart, for whatever that's worth at one pocket.

It looks like a fair game would be Gorst spotting Chohan the break.

The other surprising stat is how few times either ran multiple balls (7 or 8). I'm guessing that was because of the tight pockets. I would have thought that would have favored Tony (more moving and less running out).

Nice stats. Fedor mentioned he was particularly focused to pull off this win. His daily win record, and some of the stats mentioned, makes me believe he was making up for some disappointing non-first place finishes - disappointing to his expectations. But I watched most of his recent losses and in fact the opponents outplayed Fedor, or it seemed that way to me.
I worry about Fedor's longevity - when he's down for the shot his back appears to be twisted like a pretzel. Ouch.
