In a BBC interview, he admitted that he was glad no one had ever made a 147 against him in his whole career.

“I would hate it,– I wouldn’t be happy for them. It’s not nice when the shoe’s on the other foot. It’s nice when you’re beating an opponent and kicking him when he’s down. That’s what sport is all about, the only reason for playing.”
