I think its very cool that Steve Cook has a tournament in his memory.

When I started playing pool, some of the first videos I bought were some one pocket videos of Steve Cook and it just killed me how mild he looked but how well he shot.

Amazing player. His looks might of made people think of him in a certain light, but if you watch him play long enough, you end up with a ton of respect for the guy.

Hope they get a good turn out like the Jay Swanson in CA gets...players like this deserve to keep their legacy alive.

Thanks, hopefully there is a good turn out and I have to agree on Cookie Monster being one of the coolest nicknames for a pool player...
 
I think it's great that you guys are doing a "Steve Cook Memorial Tournament"! Steve was a good friend of mine and was a player rep for my cues. It would even be nicer if you could have a One Pocket event on 9 footers since that was really his specialty, but the good intentions are heart felt! If I can get away I may take a ride up for a little while. I hope you have a good turn-out and a very successful tourney!

Steve was a great guy and a one pocket tourney would be nice. Unfortunately the room tried to get a one pocket tourney going and never drew more than 8 players. Come on up its a good time. Full field the last two years.

is it limited to 64 and if so i need to reserve 3 spots..... please pm asap,,, im not gonna take a 4 and a half hour drive for nuttin
