Steve made me a cue probably Ten years ago give or take a year or two Mike Bender is a friend and has built me two cues over the past twenty years, Mike builds a cue that can compare with anyone. Side by side the cues are almost identical in length and dimensions. The difference is in taper and stiffness of the shaft. I had Steve build me one of his low deflection shafts and I give it an A plus. I am going to send my shafts back to Mike to change the taper and tip from 13mm to maybe 12.6 mm. This is not a hit on Mike as he built to my specs. His cues play but they are a bit solder hit than I desire. There is also a difference in the cues as the Dunker is leather wrap and Bender wrap less. Construction wise Mikes points PERFECT, Steve’s 99.9 percent perfect. Basically what I am saying is if you can’t get a Mike Bender cue get a Dunkel Niether will disappoint you!!!
