On the VHS:

Introduction to the challenge: Straight pool, Snooker and 9 ball.

Pre-match interviews.

Introduction to straight pool (14.1) with Steve Mizerak demonstrating how points are scored.

Straight pool footage: Steve Davis in action, putting a run together and learning as he goes - showing a lot of potential for the game. As far as I'm aware, this is the only footage around of a top snooker player playing straight pool, and against one of it's greatest exponents! This is followed by an interview with the two players after the winner of the first of the three disciplines is decided.

Snooker next, with interviews with Davis and Mizerak ahead of their match and an introduction to snooker described by Rex Williams - then World No. 12 - with Steve Davis demonstrating.

Action from the match follows, Davis under pressure to show his prowess and now Mizerak adapting to a new game with some impressive shot making and cue power as he puts a couple of breaks together. Again, from what I've seen, this is the only footage available of a top pool player trying his hand at snooker against a top snooker pro.

Another interview with both players follows after the conclusion of this second leg of the challenge.

Barry Hearn then speaks about promoting snooker in America and Davis's chances in the challenge.

An introduction to 9 ball comes next, with Mizerak demonstrating again.

Finally there is footage from the match featuring both players in play from a few of the sets, then the trophy presentation and a final interview with both players discussing the event, with Mizerak determined to qualify for the World Snooker Championships.

1987, 1hr 30 minutes long.

PAL video, just send a message for international postage.

Thanks!
