I just got a new OB-1 shaft with my pool cue. The shaft tends to get sticky after about 5-10 minutes of use. Is this normal for an ob shaft or do I just need to get it cleaned and sealed? I don't have this problem with regular maple shafts or predator shafts.

I've had two ob shafts. Mine were great. Your's probably just needs and cleaning.
my shaft used to get sticky after. the trick is to keep a hand towel next to you. half damp (warm water) half dry. makes cleaning up way easier

If you're cue repairman cleans and seals your shaft it should be fine for awhile. UNLESS, you're one of those people that have very damp hands all the time. A friend of mine has to keep a towel at all times as well as talc
and that solves his problem. Good luck with yours.
