So why did you leave your cues visible?
Is your area crime ridden or occasional?

Find a local cue dealer who can write you a receipt for the value of the cue, and if possible inflate their worth. The insurance company will only give you the depreciation amount, not the actual cash value until you have replaced the items and show them the purchase price.

I have had my cues stolen twice out of my truck, and one of the times I watched it happen out of my office window. (Guess I will never learn) But the most important part is do not tell the insurance company that you play tournaments, or gamble or make any profit from playing pool. They will insist that you should have picked up a business policy and they will not cover the cues as they see it as a business asset. I had them tell me this when my cues were stolen last June, I had been fighting with them for 9 months and finally get paid in April.

Good luck to you, there is nothing worse in this world then a thief.

Yeah, go ahead, committ fraud against the insurance Agency. Help the Agency stick it back to policy owners for your irresponsible action. Cues are two pieces of wood, most of the time not worth what you have paid for, but hell, I have to get my money back because I was a fool and paid more than anyone for a cue stick, right?

who are you talking to exactly?

No one committed fraud against anyone... You seem to drift between me and another poster with no clear distinction so I'm not sure which part was meant for whom. I know it wasn't the best idea to leave them in my car but not exactly "irresponsible" Since you seem concerned they were not visible and were found while the thief ransacked my car which was under covered parking at my house at the end of a culdesac in a "low" crime area. I am not a "fool" but had they not been found, I would have gladly filed a claim for the replacement of my cues and case as per my policy which was bought to cover these types of things. So no you are not "right" IMO
