I have a 9' 860 in a cellophane bag (from shipper). Can it stay in the bag for an extended period (few years) or should it be open air. Does it matter.

If not laying under sunlight you should be fine

Will be stored in an AC closet. Reason I asked ... In the past..Things that were wrapped in plastic and stored deteriorated after time.

I have two sets of Simonis 860 sitting in my basement in the original bags, and inside the boxes they shipped in. Seem fine to me.

I'd be more worried about moths than giving the cloth some air>
Of course I've never heard of moth holes in Simonis either.

Keep your cloth in the shipping bag.
That's why they did that!!!
