Storing Cues and shafts

I have a few extra cues and shafts that i am not shooting with. Could
someone give me some advice on storing them. I currently have them
in a cue rack and they are sitting up and together in the basement.

well thats about the worst way. you want to hang them or lay them flat. nothing is more perfect then gravity
