Straight Pool Match Last Night

I played a straight pool match last night and was feeling pretty good with me leading 120-something to 90-something in a race 150. Well, after I hung a ball in a pocket, my opponent proceeded to have his highest run ever, running 55 balls and then had an unlikely scratch on his break shot (a ball kicked the cue ball uptable for a scratch).

After taking a point off for the foul, he needed only 3 more balls with me needing 20-something more. I then ran about 3 balls and missed, hooking my opponent unintentionally. He missed his next shot and I wish could say I ran 20-something and out, but what happened was a heart-breaker!

I shot a ball dead in the hole and it popped back out! My opponent then got his last 3 balls for the win!

So far my W/L is 1/4 for the season. I love this game! :p

The pocket wasn't full. In fact, it may have been empty. It happens every once in a while on the type of tables we play on (not sure of the manufacturer).

That is something that would happen on a Gold Crown but there must of been some heavy spin on that ball when it banked into the side. And... then it goes into the corner...... Only in 9-ball.
I wish that we were playing on GC's in our Stright pool league. You wouldn't believe the type of ..... (well poor tables) that they have around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
