Straighten a cue butt?

I know that it is possible to straighten a shaft but I was wondering if it is possible to straighten a butt. If so, how is it done, and what percentage of the time does it work. I am thinking about buying a cue with a warped butt but I don't want it if there is not a good chance of being able to repair it. Thanks in advance for any help I can get about this.

I was in a cuemakers shop when he recieved a cue as you describe. The warp was in the handle. He simply replaced the handle. Took it right out and put in another one. Wraped it and sent it back.

Thanks Purdman, but I don't want to have to replace anything. I am looking for a way to correct the warp without changing anything on the cue. Thanks for the info though.
