I've been watching the Euro stream and its really good. I'm curious though as to what kind of money it took to set up something like that. I can watch as many tables as i can fit onto my screen and they must have some powerful servers. Only a couple short hicups so far. This is the future for pool without a doubt.

In Europe there is no cap on upload speeds like we have here in the U.S., making streaming multiple streams possible.

Definetely the future of pool. Also the future of the media.

Not exactly true, adsl connections are capped at 256k due to the nature of the copper wire used to send the data. ADSL upload is generally 10% of the download speed in better connected areas.

It also varies from country to country. For a stream of this magnitude with multi-tables you would still need 4.5meg upload as a minimum. My guess would be that they were using a dedicated line at the venue or even the possibility of a Satellite/IP connection that provides up to 10meg connectivity.

We are doing an event in May that will allow us to stream live in HD, only because of the connection speeds available in the area.

AS more and more people are watching video over the net rather than through TV's ISP's will have to catch up and speeds will get faster and faster.
