Did it help improve your stroke?

I believe so. I used it for quite a while to help with my left handed stroke. I am now much more comfortable shooting opposite handed. Don't use it much anymore. A great tool!

I've got one for sale at $19.99.

It's lightweight and great for travel to the pool room. It's of a soft material so any miscues won't damage your tip or shaft.

Again...for low, low price of $19.99.

OR, if you want, just go to a machine that sales bottled soda (for a buck), drink it (or look in the trashcan beside it for an empty one), lay it on its side...and......practice your stroke. An added benefit of my product is it works on your aim.

You want to shoot better opposite handed. For (wow) again, only $19.99 I'll tell you my secret method that will produce GUARANTEED results. Well..ok, since you're all fellow forum members I'll give you this one for free as well. Hit balls opposite handed. Hit a LOT of balls with the opposite handed approach.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm sure your stroketrainer works just fine. I just always thought all these random products were kind of a rip off. I've never known a good player (to include myself when I played all the time) to use any of those kinds of products.

Which model do you have? If it's the Deluxe (fits 7',8' & 9') I will probably buy it, after seeing photos.

Zim, it is the stroketrainer. I think you are refering to the Breakrak. This product is not one that comes in 7'-9'. It is designed to imporve your stroke. Check out the link that I posted in the start of the thread.

Ohh WOW!! Jumped the gun on that one didn't I?? I'm in the market for both products! Can you send me a couple photos of the Stroketrainer you have? How old is it? I know there's a newer model on the market now.

Thanks,
Zim

Washington, D.C.

I developed my stroke the old fashioned way and it turned out pretty good. Not trying to knock your stroke trainer action though. Just "attempting" a bit of humor. Guess it was in bad taste. :P

No offense taken!
Unfortunately, there are many that have trouble with developing a stroke the natural way or by having simple God given talent. Make note that I did not develop this stroke trainer, I simply bought it about 6 months ago, got what I needed out of it and now would rather see it go to someone that can use it. It has served it's purpose for me.
If anyone is interested, PM me or email me..

Peace!

hey you guys make fun of these things, and i agree some of the products on the market are overkill. But I bought 2 of buddy halls dvds off ebay awhile back and got his stroketrainer with it (plastic tube with some feet on it, basically the sodabottle technique), but I swear putting that thing on my kitchen table and using it did more for my game than anything Id done so far. Really helped me concentrate on my stroke and stance and I figured out alot of things that were wrong with my game that had been killing my consistency. Ive never shot better in my life this consistently before, and even strung together 5 racks in 9ball back to back, never done that before. Somebody whos game is really up and down alot might wanna try one of these gadgets, sure helped me.

My opinions on the Buddy Hall Stroke Trainer Tube and The Stroketrainer 2.
- Buddy Halls is a great tool to help develop your stroke alignment, but does nothing for your body alignment.
- The Stroketrainer 2 does both if used properly!

Both are great instructional aids, as is many of the aids on the market. Each instructional aid out there serves it's purpose...corrects flaws in _____ (depending on aid).

I just bought the Stroketrainer 2 from RunARak! I can't believe that no one else jumped on it! You heard what he said, he got his use out of it and now it's time to give someone else the opportunity! That's good (for me) and my students, because this is going into my lesson at the Cue School!

actually zim buddys trainer did help me with my body alignment. I would put it on the kitchen table and act like its the cue ball......and then use my preshot routine and address it. Thats where I figured out i was doing my preshot wrong, and now i approach the cueball with my cue already in my bridge and it helps me line up. I bet the stroketrainer does a better job but I swear buddys contraption made a world of difference for me. Let us know how it works for you?
