Studiotronics Finishing Process

I actually meant to say I was going to use this vacuum container to dye my veneers. Thinking that pulling the air out would help the wood to absorb more of the dye.
Let us know how that goes. I bet there’s a dozen people reading this that would go buy one if successful.
So I ran my little experiment to dye wood in the vacuum container. The Piece of wood I used was hard maple 9/16" by 2" by 6" long. I used a brown water-based dye with a little rubbing alcohol .

This picture is at 13 days. There is definitely a bit of stain pulled into the cells of the wood with the vacuum container left piece.
If not anything, the container is convenient.
I have a picture at 5 days and 10 day but too big for the server.

Is it me or is this a rather long time for for a piece this size to be completely saturated with resin?

Perhaps with dye elements the duration has changed completely....Are you putting enough fluid to saturate the workpiece?

I used a water based dye and yes there was plenty of fluid. The piece was hard maple and 9/16" thick.
I don't know how long it takes for others to get full saturation on thinner veneer pieces.
