Martin's got great stuff, but are you selling anything here. Please kindly read the forum rules.
 
Mods/Admins - please move to appropriate section

I thought it'd be appropriate because a lot of new people such as myself look for various options or potential options when purchasing a cue in this Wanted/For Sale section. However, I digress and kindly ask Mods/Admins to move to the most appropriate section, else delete post entirely. Sorry all.

I am pretty sure he would have gotten the point from a more constructive reply from Cueaddicts. No need to really crack the whip so hard. It's obvious he didn't know, seems to be his first offense. Take it easy.
 
just so i understand the rules....

i see links to sites selling stuff all the time. especially to ebay.

this is a link to a site that is selling stuff. why is this not appropriate?

He is not selling anything, just giving everyone a heads up on really nice wraps at Superiorcues.com. It's in the wrong section, would be more appropriate in cue machinery & supplies located in towards the bottom of main forum.

but if this same post was made by a person representing superiorcues.com, then this would be ok?
 
I agree. Harsh response and this is the appropriate place. Just because we all know martin's site and it is nothing new, a post with a link to a new cue dealer website would be appropriate. I see no differnce.
 
Oh yeah, I am also clearing my schedule for the next day or so because it looms like someone on the Internet might be wrong.

I would guess it would be okay, I'm not a forum police volunteer though. I'm sure someone would have an issue with it. It would probably be more appropriate in cue machinery and supplies ( for cuebuilding / cue making).
 
If it isn't for sale or someone looking to purchase...it belongs in the appropriate forum (and this isn't it).

If "Cueaddicts" statement seemed to direct it's because this stuff is happening way too often.

People in this world need more PMA. It's the same people that honk at you or dont let you in when you are trying to change lane even though the lane is only moving at 1mph.

Still. Thank you for the link in the For Sale section. I already knew of superior cues. But when I saw your post I hit the jump right away. Options are always good.

"Paralysis of analysis".......Come on guys, this forum isn't designed for everyone to post notices to other things all over the web that they don't own or are not affiliated with. Surely that's not what is intended here. :confused: As I read #2, it references "your items for sale or trade" in this section. What good is this section with all the extra spam.

The rules infractions are getting old to many around here, and when you send a friendly email reminder to someone (not the op here in this instance) trying to advise them on the proper use of the forum and they tell you to "eat $hit", then yeah, it makes it tiresome when you continue to see these types of threads.

Sorry to the op, if I seemed snippy. That wasn't the intention.

Point is....a lot of new people who are using this site are not reading or paying attention to the rules. Also, several posters who have been here a long time and know better and think the rules don't apply to them. Violations being reported under rule #8 aren't being addressed for whatever reason. So we need to take it upon ourselves to help try to keep things in line and running smooth as best we can here.

Cueaddicts statement was constructive, it was the flowing statement as if it were gonna be a bashing. I'm sure the OP is well aware now, being he hasn't been involved since he acknowledged Cueaddicts statement.
