Hi All,

Offered here is a Verl Horn cue.

Tons of ivory
2 unused original shafts
Butt was unused, but I got it refinished by Mike Capone, as the original finish was not perfect.

The cue is in the States with a friend, and comes with a black leather basket weave Ron Thomas 1x2 case. As a package I am looking for $SPF. If I am splitting, then it is $SPFfor the cue and $SPFfor the case. These prices include shipping within CONUS.

Payment via bank wire or paypal if the buyer covers the fees. The cue and case are with KBOOKS3 (Jeremy Edwards) and he will post them when I receive funds. Trades are also possible, looking for nice 4 point 4 veneer cues with a 5/16 x 14 piloted joint.

I think the pics tell the rest of the story...

I will get Jeremy to chime in on this cue as well, there is quite a bit of info I am missing I guess, like dimensions etc.

I did get this from him a while back...

"It's unchalked...and probably built in the 90's..and I was told Ron Haley most likely made the forearm according to one of the Cueaddicts. The finish has lifted slightly around some of the rings..I was going to have Mike Capone make it perfect."

excellent cue

I just saw this. It is an excellent cue, very well done. Verl Horn cue play great! Congratulations to who ever got this one.

I actually know that cue well. The original owner was a friend of Verl's here in OKC and it was a Prather forearm and I believe it actually was a late 80's build. Capone did an excellent job restoring this cue because it was in pretty rough shape. It originally had the gold flake lettering for horn. I believe Jim Ingram or Bob Owen both have some of the lettering left if anyone was interested in restoring it back to original. It really is one of the two or three prettiest Horn's I've ever seen. And he made a lot of monsters. The pink ivory and the true ivory really pop on this cue. Whoever buys it really gets a true example of Verl's fine craftsmanship.

Wow!

That is the nicest Verl Horn I have seen. I met his brother in OKC 9 years ago when I went to play in their Seniors Championship. He showed me one of Verl's cues then. I really enjoyed talking with him.

On another note, Jack Shurtz of Shurtz Custom Cues learned his trade years ago from Verl Horn.

I think you are on about a different cue, the refinish in this one was purely done because there was a little lifting at the rings, the cue was unplayed since new. Also, there is no pink ivory on this cue, and the HORN in gold lettering is still there perfect, just not shown in these pictures.
