Stupid Stupid Stupid - Another Botched Runout

try drawing off the rail.

1...it's more forgiving.
2...you'd be rolling your cb INTO the position zone and away from the rail.

now this would be tough - at least for me. i'd have to cheat the pocket, and run the risking of jarring the ball out. plus, you couldnt roll this shot into position. it was so straight you'd have to force it, hit it pretty hard to pop it out and off the rail.

it was just really stupid of me not to take 10 seconds to look and see that i needed a slight angle on the '2' Ball. all i would have needed was a few scant inches of draw and i would have got out here.

Chuck Norris would've round house kicked his opponent, then cut the 2 in the OTHER side pocket letting the cue ball masse (no rails) into the 9ball, cutting it into the corner pocket, ending the game before the oppenent's unconcious body even hit the floor.

............

Now that's a shot I'd like to see.:)

sorry dcp,,,i was assuming a ball in hand scenario. my bad.

my question then is do your hold your cue/bridge/bridge length the same in this shot as other draw shots? this might be important because certain shots are better performed with certain bridges, and allows you greater freedom of control.

also,,,for instance, a poke shot might be better than a smooth stroke in this scenario.
