Sugartree Cues

After months of waiting, endless discussions/research as regards specs (of which Mr Crisp was truly very understanding and patient in every way), my cue is finally ready and should be in the mail by now. :)

As I think many will agree, the wait while the cue is in transit is the most anxious of all  , so I hope that in the meantime if any of our kind readers will share their views on these cues ie pics, balance, hit, feel, playability etc. How do they stack up with other popular "players" cues eg SW, Bluegrass, Schon, Zylr etc etc?

Any input is greatly appreciated as this is also my first post here in AZB :o . Thanks all!! :D

by the very lack of them forsale in the after market area I'd say they are pretty good. Have one on order myself, and certainly hope my assumption proves correct.

Awaiting completion of mine. Eric is a really nice guy and his collection of woods is unbelievable. He stockpiles woods from all over the world with some exceptional figure. I'm awaiting a heavily figured birdseye maple players cue with a curly purpleheart handle and a buckhorn joint and buttcap. I can't wait!!!

Hey Bishop-

No. Eric doesn't have a website. He's just a guy who loves collecting woods and making cues. And to my knowledge, he's got a similar construction method to Kerry Zeiler (no metal, all wood construction). As a result, I've never seen anyone reselling his cues.

Eric is a great guy. He is Qbilder on this site. If you'd like, I can email you some pics of his cues (if I still have them) and I can PM you his email address.

Just a testament as to how good his cuebuilding reputation is, I've owned cues from some of the best cuemakers out there. A while back, I made the decision to stop buying cues from anyone except Paul Mottey and James White. Based on Eric's reputation, he is the only one I have made an exception for.

Ya .. I think he's on a wood hunting expedition now :D

he posts pictures of his cues on easypooltutor quite often. also there is one of his cues for sale on that site at the moment.

Last I knew worminator had a really nice one for sale.

I've only seen two for sale..one was a crazy bocote cue that Koop got..the other was a sneaky that the seller was trying to make a killing on.

Wanted a used one, but broke down and just ordered a new one.

Good memory buddy and yes, that was some of the craziest bocote I've ever seen. Sucky thing for me is that I realized too late that I am a stainless steel joint guy. Sold it to a great guy here on Az for 0 profit and his cues are without question, GREAT hitters.
