i am not knocking mr crisp in any way.................. I am usually up on my cues pretty well as far as cuemakers and their backgrounds go but he has slipped thru my fingers of knowledge...

i have heard his cues are amazing but id like to know more about where he came from and what makes him stand out from others. i have not been fortunate enough to have hit with anything he has made but i did see one on here about 6 months ago that i would have sold my soul for but i didnt think i could send my soul thru paypal.

Go to www.theactionreport.com click on videos and scroll down to where it says interview with wes hunter and eric crisp. he is originally from ohio and makes an incredible cue. Had the chance to hit with a couple when he was here visiting a few months ago and his cues are amazing. He uses the best materials and takes a lot of pride in wat he does. Great guy and a great cue maker
 
Eric is one of a kind. I love the stiffness of his cues that made him famous and the incredible woods he pulls out. Also his versatility on his ring work is outstanding as well.
Also love the style and look he comes up every time. He reminds me a bit Kikel and the reason being is that none of his cues look the same. There is always something unique about his cues. I have owned several of his cues and regret selling every single one of them :(

Years ago when I was a member of another forum called Easy Pool Tutor, Eric was one of the more knowledgeable posters to this site when it came to the ins and outs of everything to do with cues and woods. At the time, he was 'playing' around with cues and making a few here and there along with doing upgrades and repairs. All this, while collecting wood for the one day that he would go into building them full time. You should read some of his posts as to how excited he would get every time he would get his hands on some crazy and incredible piece of wood. Then he started making and selling them and from word of mouth, his cues and reputation just skyrocketed.
I just think that Eric is one of those guys that set out not to make a living or get rich making cues. He just has an incredible knowledge and interest in woods, and has been able to apply that knowledge and interest into making cues. I don't think the guy has ever considered one of his cues to be a 'product'. I think he is one of those guys that does what he loves to do, and at the same time, has found people willing to pay money for what he does.

Eric crisp....

Eric crisp consistently manages to come up with some of the most amazing woods out there , coupled with his precision in crafting an incredible playing cue,,,,

it's very rare that a cuemaker that chooses such exotic woods can come up with the same awesome playability time after time,,,,

also,,,a class act to deal with,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!
