suggestions/advice needed for homemade playing surface

Table Height?

I can't really tell from the poorly lite picture. You need to invent a new flash bulb.:D But to me the table looks a little to close to the pilot lite.:D
What height do you have the bed set at? Looks Low from the pic. That wouldn't be good for your game:confused:

Even if you spent a $100 and hodgepodged a flat table surface, what have you got?

I have no use for a real table

If you read the earlier posts, I stated I do not want to get involved with slate.
