Any suggested drills that I don't have to take 3 shots and reset, take 3, reset... I get burnt out on these drills quickly and end up throwing them in the bag for 14.1 and try to play the rack without hitting a single rail.

Any suggestions for a drill that I can improve my "cueball on the rail" shots?

Try Bert Kinister's "The Ladder". When you can do "The Ladder", consistantly, most of your competition will be new...

It's the darndest drill I have ever practiced. It gives you speed, banking, english & application.

Learn to use the time resetting the shot to evaluate what occurred, and what adjustments you might want to make for the next try. This just might speed up your progress.

Drill 1: CB on long rail w/OB (1 ball) on same rail. This requires center cue ball contact.

Drill 2: CB (A) on head rail w/OB (1 ball) on long rail. This requires top cue ball contact.

Drill 3: CB (B) on long rail w/OB (5 ball) near pocket. Although your CB is on the rail, you can impart draw on the CB...pocketing the OB and draing the CB back. This can be considered a masse or jump/draw stroke.
