Anyone have any good feedbacks about which one they would buy.
1. New schon stl9
2. Excellent condition josey sp full slice with hoppe ring.

Thnx

I'd guess those cues don't play very similar and you should pick the one that best suits you and your style of play.

just my 2 cents

Have played with lots of schons and 1 sp Josey. Josey is much more solid and plays better in my opinion

a few years ago, i was positive i wanted a joesy sp, i loved the way they looked, the quality was amaizing and the prices were pretty nice.. so a cue dealer friend of mine had one so i went to try it i didnt like it at all.. i was so glad i didnt buy one first without trying one.... so me it was very stiff and hard.. it was totally not my taste in hit..

if keith josey offered a 5/16x14 piloted steel or ivory joint option.. i think i would be all over it.. but he doesnt..

so my advice is if you can try something first.. i recomend it..

Thnx for the info. My buddy has both cues he wants to sell to me. Just wants some good feedbacks. Thnx

Have you played with both? Then I'd suggest buying the one that feels best to you. Both good cues in my opinion. Hit is a personal thing....but I love my Josey.

The difference to me is, which joint type do you prefer?
They are both great cues. I would choose the Schon because I prefer 5/16x14 SS.

My Josey SP is the best playing cue I've ever owned, above my past Scruggs, Coker, CC, Brick, Predator, and Meucci. I also use a timeless timber shaft however, but I cannot recommend Josey cues enough.

since you have access to both cues.. i also recomend the same.. play with both cues and buy the one that feels the best to you..

My first Josey was an old beat-up plain SP... Loved it so much that I bought another Josey - a curly pointed SP. Don't think I'll ever let go of these two cues.

cue

Heres a good idea that was given to me a long time ago. play 30 mins with one cue then the next day play 30 with the other, each cue will talk you so to speak very clearly. It was recommended not to play with them back to back as you will be stuck on the current feel of the other cue, thanks just thought id pass it on , may help may not. I did that back many years ago and hate playing with anything but a Joesy

They are two entirely different cues. The Josey will be much lighter at the joint and in my opinion would be easier to play with. This is my opinion after building cues for 20 years.
