Summer League

How many of you play league in summer?
I start by saying I usually do, but won't be this summer.

It used to be hard around here to get a summer league together but now there are quite a few doing well. People around here used to want a summer break and it was only the hard core player like me that didn't lol but now even the casual players are playing year round. I think it's more proof that leagues on a local league level is doing great but for the pro's not so much.

That's kind of what I was fishing for. In my area, teams drop like flies in summer. With a limited number, the travelling time is too much for my wallet. Just the way it works out here. I played summer last year but its not happening this year.

We lose a few teams during the summer, but our APA divisions (both 8 and 9) will still be going. And I'll be playing.

I don't put as much practice time in during the summer but I still play league.

I play pool year round, same amount of time no matter what the season is.

I may not play in my league though due to the fact that the prize at the end is a Vegas trip that I can't use. Will try to get to some tournaments instead.
