Giving this post a bump...

Just want to remind everyone this tournament is Sunday! Already got people registered. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Wow, my best attempt since moving to Texas...2-2. :)

I like this place. First poolroom I've been to in Texas that doesn't allow smoking. For once I get to go home without smelling nasty and dirty.

Sorry folks, but cigarette smoke really is disgusting. Having smoked for years I feel compelled to say it. ;)

Glad you did well. Just so you know, every poolhall in Dallas city limits and Dallas county are now non smoking. How many played in the tourney?

I remember there were 18 there.

Kudos to the organizer, he did a great job in keeping the players moving. When the players asked about the rules, he was very accomodating and flexible, leaving stuff like lag vs flip, rack your own vs rack for your opponent, etc., up to the players to decide on their own.

The waitresses were awesome too, and yea, Jessica was as pretty and cheerful in person as she was on the phone. Man she makes a mean cup of coffee!

The tables...well...I won't go there. They weren't TOO bad... :)

Glad to read that you did well Don & had a good time. It is also good to hear that the tournament was ran well. Thumbs Up to them. That sure is a lot better then driving 5 hours to go play in a 9 ball tournament.....LOL

Tournament Results

I want to thank everyone that made it out to our little tournament. While I would have like to see more people make it...maybe next time! Yes, there will be another one in March

Here we go with the results:

We had 18 total entrants. Since we were so close to our minimum, we went ahead and added the $200. We only paid to 3rd place and the $690 in Calcutta money went to 1st and 2nd. The tournament got going just around 2:30PM and finished up somewhere around the 9-10PM hour. It may have been a bit earlier, it was a pretty exciting tournament! Our top 3 finishers:

1st Robert Clark $325/420
2nd Conner Sherman $195/$270
3rd Joey Barnes $150

The final matches were really close and very exciting. Conner beat Joey 7-6 and had to double-dip Robert to take 1st. The set was really close and Robert avoided another grueling set with Conner with a set 7-5 finish.

Congratulations to our winners!
