I'm sorry you only joined now Valor. It is a time of great sadness on this forum. The administrator has engaged in gross discrimination and brutal censorship.

This forum is no longer a place where people can write openly and honestly. The oppressive management has embarked on a pogrom of exterminating all those who oppose his viewpoint. On top of that, all the writings of some of the great player-authors have been destroyed.

Actually... I think Mike is doing a very good job overseeing this fantastic billiard forum. Many of the members of this board have been complaining about certain type of posts and it was a decision favored by majority of the members and by the forum administer. You can read many valuable posts on this forum, sell a product, buy a product, search for a product, get fantastic tips and advice, however, you may also find profanity, bashing, ripping on other members posts or opinions. Those last few things that I mentioned have been removed primarily and because of this forum being kept clean, neat, friendly, courteious, it is still THE BEST BILLIARDS FORUM on the web! I know I'm not the only one who supports that also. If you continue to post anything similar to what you just did, I'm pretty sure it wont be around too long.

Sorry Zim, I don't usually disagree with you but I do this time. I don't think Mike (administrator) will have any problem with the post you're referring to. He has proven to me that he has broad shoulders and can easily handle some lightweight criticism. I think Mike has demonstrated that anyone is allowed to have an opinion even if it might be out in left field. However, when a poster continually, over time, personally attacks other posters for posting their opinions, he has taken action. Many of us, had we been the administrator, would have acted sooner. I think it is to Mike's credit that he held on as long as he did. Again, this post does not even come close to the antagonism and profanity used by the poster that was removed from this forum.
 
heh i leave for a day and find my thread highjacked. lol. Thanx for the warm welcome. To answer an earlier question, yes i do play pool. My friends play alot too...well my one friend does. I always dabbled in the dark arts of billiard but was never really into it until recently. I purchased a used Meucci cue and my interests in the sport just took off from there. Ive been playing avidly for appx 5 weeks now and from what im told i do pretttttty good. It actually comes to a suprise to me cause im not good at much ;P. Hopefully my passion will grow and ill get to non amatuer level some day. If anyone lives in the North Jersey area and wants to get a game just pm me or post it here. Peace
 
RickW- I wasn't saying that there is NO bashing, negative posts or anything like that. I was saying that it is not wanted when it gets too personal or excessive. We are on the same page when it comes to Mike and his administrative ways on this forum! Maybe I just made a broad statement and needed to be a little more specific, my fault!

Majority rule leads to discrimination, oppression of the minority, and suppression of opposing viewpoints.

Yes, my posts will probably be excised by the Monarch Dictatorial Administrator, but before it is, maybe it will spark some thought about the drawbacks of censorship.

Hey God, I don't usually try and tell you anything cause you suposed to know everything, but let it go, man. Larry screwed up, now he is back. Period. Quit bashing Mike, he is doing a fine job.
