thats a huge spread, though not completely fair, as the one time the giants played the patriots it was a lot closer, so with a 12 spread i take the giants.

I do not care about the Super Bowl really, it is in Phoenix this year, and if I walk a mile I can see the top of the University of Phoenix Stadium, (home of the NFL Team with the Worst Record in HISTORY of Professional Football), Arizona Cardinal's? Quoting the AZ Repulbic Newspaper.

Every time I turn on the TV, and the NEWS is on, it is Super Bowl this, and Super Bowl that. Can not wait for it too be over, and the Valley of the Sun to return to Normal.

Heard a story Saturday of a Cardinal's Fan (season ticket holder) who got lucky and got (2) Ticket for Face Value as he was chosen in the ticket lottery. They were lower level on the 50 yard line. His cost was a tad over a GRAND EACH. Sold the pair for 24K CASH

Parking passes for the Super Bowl are $125.00, Hotels, Motels, Car Rental are Sold out in the Valley, and to add insult to injury ever thing is about 4-5 TIMES the Normal Price.

Sunday at about 8 pm Phoenix Time the Super Bowl will be over, and thing will return to NORMAL in Phoenix with the normal big city stuff on the NEWS, like murders, rapes, robberies, police shooting, etc.

The other half is a huge NEW ENGLAND FAN, and if it was in my budget I would buy her a ticket, drop her off, and go play Pool in Tempe at Kolby?s that I am sure will be more fun then listing to her scream during the game at home.

I am looking forward to the COMMERCIALS, as hopefully they will be one or two great ones.

While Eli has looked good the last couple of months, he has not been to the SuperBlowout. The Giants have a good team, but the Brady Bunch have been there and won multiple times already. I think the Patriots roll over and the Giants roll under the pressure.

It opened at 14.5, and then in less than 12 hours the line moved to 13. There must have been the whales and brain trusts placing their bets at that time. Still, +12 is a lot. It's also 5/1 on the Giants straight up. I'll probably go with the straight up.

The Giants secondary makes me nervous as hell, they aren't exactly world class.

They do have to guard a world class receiving core and Tom Brady is throwing them the ball.

They will have to rush almost every play and keep Welker in check in order to have any chance straight up

Im leaning toward the Pats at -12. I hesitated giving the Giants 2 touchdowns but here is why I like the Pats at -12: Games in which the Pats have played where the temp. was above 50 degrees, Brady has Avg. 298.4 ypg and they have an avg. victory of 23.1 points .Games where the temp. was 50 or below, Brady has avg. 287.9 and they have an avg. margin of victory of 14.1. Now the final telling category is games in which the temp is below 50 and the wind is 10mph+. People will point to the last several games the Patriots played in which the games were closer, but almost all of these fell into the latter category in which Brady avg. 246.5 and they avg. winning by 6.3. Also the scoring output was as follows for the pats, above 50 degrees-39.4, below 50 degrees-31.8, and below 50 with 10+ wind -24.8. This all culminates with the weather in Arizona which will be almost perfect with no wind to speak of which greatly benefits the Patriots high powered offense. This along with the motivation factor of putting an exclamation point to a perfect season and silencing everyone that says the Pats aren't the best team ever makes me believe they want to and will blow the Giants out. Final score Patriots 41 Giants 20

1500th post by the way, lol.

Giants aren't supposed to really be there and they know it. The pressure is on the Patriots on keeping a 'perfect season' in tact. Giants have nothing to lose. What's more, many didn't believe the Giants would make it through the playoffs. When nobody believed in them, they started believing in themselves. Many times heart can overcome talent.

You do know that the Giants have covered like 6 games in a row and the Pats have not covered since early December right?

That being said, I like the Pats to win by 12. LOL :D

Sometimes numbers mean nothing

The last nine games the Pats played were all in 47 degrees or lower games. The spreads in the last half of the season also reflected the perceptions of the average bettor and were inflated several points. The super bowl spread was also inflated until some money started coming in on the Giants. The number I have using my own power ranking system that DOES NOT factor in the huge weather advantage that New England will enjoy has the spread at 10.5-11. I feel that with the weather factor being so huge and the fact that Eli rattles like my daughters rainforest jumper toy make the Patriots the play for me.

no mention of the BIG factors....

ankle - Brady

flu - # of Giants players

I listen to sports talk most of the day, and the Superbowl is ridiculous. Anyone betting on what color Gatorade will be poured on the winning coach???? SHEESH.

The ankle is not a big issue... he played the whole second half of the Charger game on it.

It was a very creative way to get the attention off of Moss and his assault charges. Brady will be fine

I think yellow or clear fluid has the most +ev. I also like the under 1m 42s in the national anthem and the number of Budweiser commercials containing a Clydesdale to be only one because an inside source told me that 6 out of the 7 Budweiser commercials were going to be Bud Light. FWIW.

i was hopping to see the colts rematch , at least it would have been a better game. i really dont care if they keep the spread, i dont think the giants can beat new england..
