Very nice Jim buss signed 2008. Four purpleheart points up and four down from joint with natural teal orange and black veneers. Super nice Birdseye forearm and the finish is fantastic as Jim is known for. Fancy slotted rings outlines by silver at all points and topped off with a stunning purpleheart buttsleeve with 4 veneered boxes framing 3 mother of pearl inlays, two dots and one notched diamond in each. Linen wrap is white with burgandy specs. Both shafts play amazing, they are both at 13mm dead straight with brand new med layered molavia tips. Radial joint pin places the balance point just and in up from the wrap. This cue has a real crisp hit and super low deflection. It's the nicest Buss I've personally seen and I believe anyone would be real proud to own a cue made by one of the smithsonian cuemakers! Jims cues are scarce and a real nice one like this is NOT easy to come by. It hasn't seen much play and is ready for someone to take it home and wins some money with it
! This cue is the cue on jims business cards, or at least was at one point in time and if you call and ask Jim to make this cue again, or remotely close, you're looking at $2300 or more! I'm looking to get what I have into it, if someone makes an offer close to what I paid or slightly under I will take it, I will take partial trades but need to get at least $1000 cash in addition to whatever is offered up for trade. So you guys have an idea of what I'm thinking, I'll start this off at REDUCED TO $1650 with a little wiggle room for negotiation thanks for looking guys. I'm not in a super hurry so no need to lowball please. Oh, weight is right at 19.4oz with either 13mm shaft.
