I just installed one on a cue for a local player. He actually supplied the tip and gave me a couple more to try out for myself. Last week I installed one on my Jacoby J/B cue and it breaks like a brick and jumps with ease. To my knowledge, the "Super G" phenolic tips are made from canvas phenolic (sold at Atlas), if I'm wrong, someone please correct me on the material type! I'm getting ready to purchase a rod of the canvas phenolic and cut it into tips and ferrule/tip combos to be installed on my customers cues.Tons'O'fun said:Anyone ever try these tips?. They're from Gabriel Cues.
They're not available on ebay currently, but they often go up for auction.
I just ordered a bunch and he machined them down to fit my break cue perfectly.

I love the CB reaction off of the tip personally! I can jump with ease with a one ball distance. I think it's the same type of tip that is on the "Stinger" cues.

Jacoby already makes a fantastic j/b cue, IMO! I'm not too sure which model you actually have compared to mine. My jumping ability and accuracy have increased dramatically after adding the phenolic tip. I sent you a PM also!gh8st said:Zim,
I also have the Jacoby J/B cue, how much of a difference are you seeing between the tip that came with the cue and the new "super G" I am getting pretty decent results off the tip that the cue comes with.
Thanks,

I bought 5 machined to my specs for $11.50 shipping included, that's insanely cheap!.
It doesn't hold much chalk, but it holds enough to get the job done.mnShooter said:How do you get chalk to stay on. I have tried sandpaper and it just wears out the sandpaper. Those metalic shapers just take chunks out of the tip. I think I'm going to switch to a bunjee.

No human will ever go thru 5 without gifting 4 away.Shorty said:The Linen one's look identical to the tip on the Stinger. I purchased a five pack myself...always handy to keep around.
Thanks!

I have used them now for about a year. They seem slightly "softer" than different phenolic tips. They jump great, and they are easier to control off the break. You don't miscue as much with them either. Also, they are a lot easier to shape than other phenolic tips. Good product!!!Tons'O'fun said:Anyone ever try these tips?. They're from Gabriel Cues.
