super heavy cues

I took a couple of shots with my friend's cue the other day and it felt really amazing. He said it was a viking but not sure which model. It wasn't really the cue itself that I liked, rather, the weight. This cue was really heavy like a 25oz or something, but it was not butt heavy at all. The weight was pretty evenly balanced. So I was wondering how I can add weight to my cue w/o making it butt heavy. I play with a Dominiak Sweet16 right now.

Also, what are your comments about heavy cues? To me it seems like it is alot easier to feel the momentum of the cue during the warm-up strokes.

im like koplek, play with a sub 19oz cue. Anything up to 20 i can deal with ok......over 20 and it feels like im playing with a 2 x 4. You probably are having new cue syndrome......everybody plays better with any cue thats not theirs. Over time i think the heavy weight would kill your abililty for touch and precision......but you might be one of those exceptions to the rule.

That reminds me...

There's a roadie that comes around central IL from time to time playing with a cue over 40oz. He says he needs all that weight to steady his stroke, and he does have some huge arms. You should see him break with this monster!

He's also difficult to deal with and often smells terrible. He looks a little like George "the animal" Steele.

Sorry I don't have anything to say about the actual topic of this thread, but it reminded me of this guy.
