I'm using phenolic type tip as well, and love it for jumping, but not too keen on the way it breaks. When I find a tip that breaks well, it doesn't jump at all. When I find a tip that jumps well, it doesn't break worth a hill of beans.
I suppose the answer would be to purchase a dedicated jump cue with a phenolic type tip, and them use a leather tip on my dedicated break cue. I guess I'm looking for that leather tip that is the best of both worlds. Think I'll give the Super pro tips a try, they're pretty damn cheap on fleabay.
