Hi!

I have just a couple questions about the expo..

1) I have been holding off buying a new cue for about 6 months and only a few more to go until the expo.. Do most cue dealers / makers, allow people to hit with their cues at this expo or is it strictly a no touching / showcase only?

2) Cue makers I'd be interested in seeing / talking with would be, Mr. Zinzola, The almighty Searing, Joe Callaluca, Darrin Hill... of course many more, but can anyone confirm these guys will be there and are they easily approachable?

This will be the first big billiard event I've been to so I don't know the ropes.

Is the expo part free or do I need to pay for a pass? I know spectating the events costs money...

I'm really just looking for the inside scoop on the event, from someone who has been there a few times.

Thank you!

You can find a list of vendors there. Yes you have to pay to get in.

Been there twice, bought a cue last time.

1) Plenty of demo tables available for try before you buy.

2) Not sure if they're there but if they are they'll be approachable - the whole expo is all very accessible

As I recall a pass is needed for all access -- worth it! It's a fun event to go to; all the better if you like pool :) A couple of floors with many kiosks - lots to see and do.

Some makers will let you hit if they feel you're a serious buyer, I wouldn't buy one without trying it. Various tickets are available, one day, three day ect. Can look online, type in Super Billiards Expo, for more information. Will be able to get a list of venders on the websie.

Tony Zinzola is a hell of a Nice Guy and Amazing cue builder...He is generously donating a cue to us at The 14.1 Challenge at SBE, i am anxiously awaiting to see the finished product. I am sure it will be as amazing as all of his other cues.

Come on by the challenge, we will be selling Raffle tickets for his and several other cues and accesories as well...And why not while you are there. Sign Up for The Run Challenge !!!

Cya There !

If you play in a tournament you receive a 4 day pass free (so play in one). You only pay to see the pro 10 ball everything else is free, all the amateur and action play. Pro events are about $12-15 for two 2 hour sets, but there alot to see besides them.

Lots of tables around to get a quick test hit. Many cuemakers both customs and commercial. The used cues and customs are highly negotiable. From what I've seen the production cues prices are very unimpressive, pool dawg meets or bests them. I tried to buy a Mezz attachment and a Predator shaft and couldn't get more than 20% off retail so no deals.

I have to agree about the tables at SBE. They're like Tribbles in Star Trek, you'll find them everywhere, even when you least expected. If the space is big enough, they'll park a Diamond table there. I got used to seeing them everywhere at SBE, when I went to the bathroom I saw an empty spot and thought to myself that they must've forgotten to put one down.

Predator enforce MAP (minimum advertised pricing) for their dealers.
