I stand corrected. The Bushka and Helmstetter cues are Japanese made.

richard helmstetter and a few other american cue makers went over
and set them up and taught them how to make cues. the j&j look alike
bushkas came from japan . i have had a few of them over the years

Helmstetter is really quite an innovator and not only in pool cues. Did you know that he invented the Big Bertha golf clubs for Callaway Golf? He's Callaway's director of R&D and their R&D Center is named after him.

yes i agree helmstetter is quite a remarkable man, sense you mentioned
the golf clubs ,i have heard that before . when i hear the name helmstetter i think of cues. i have owned a few of his cues over the years.
he tought them well. good line of cues at a fair price.
