Sorry, but even as great a year as Mika enjoyed, another Fin is more deserving and I voted for him. Sven Far Kinstinken played 28 straight matches with perfect scores in Tiddly Winks, besting the previous record of 17 by Russian demi-god Amma Flippinuov.

Mika is now tied for first at 39%............I posted this link on his facebook page. I think his 4000 or so facebook friends can help him out. Also it is his birthday tommorrow so this would be a nice B- day present.

Done! He has had a spectacular year and I hope he gets this recognition not only for himself but for billiards in general. He did do what I thought was almost impossible by winning 2 US Opens back to back. Good luck to him.

I am just bumping this thread.

This is the biggest newspaper in Finland, doing a poll figuring out who deserves the title Athlete of the Year 2009 in Finland.

Mika is currently #2 in this poll.

This was kinda like a ''peoples choise'' voting. The real selection will be done by a group of sports reporters. I hope Mika would be selected because he has had the most successful year of all Finnish athletes and deserves the attention..
