Surber Memorial follow-up

I totally agree with Jenny

Steve, a great tribute to one of pool's true gentlemen Mike Surber.
Hope they catch the rotten SOB who did this, I'd give a huge amount if they let me inject him or pull the switch, whatever Mississippi does. Will miss you Mike, and once again, great job Steve.

Steve,

Our family thanks you for the kind words. Mike was loved and will be missed dearly. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for helping his good name live on. He had a passion for one pocket that was only exceeded by his kind nature. Thank you again Steve for the tribute.

My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

The value of a man is not determined by how deep his pockets are, but, rather, it is determined by how deep of an impression he made in the hearts of others. As you can see by the outpouring on this and other pool forums, Mike Surber was a well-loved man.

RIP, Mike Surber!

Mike made a great impression on me when I first really met him in 2005 at Fast Eddie's in Goldsboro NC. He and Glenn Kelly had driven north, partly to get away from Katrina, and why not stop in to a One Pocket tournament at the same time?! I have to admit, I was one of those "Who is this guy?" people. But what a solid competitor and great person he was!

Your thank you here means as much to me as any thanks I have ever received for Onepocket.org. MY heart goes out to all of your family -- and Mike's close friends for the loss of such a wonderful person. I promise, we will never forget Mike, the player.
