well...

if anyone can help,...i can't view any of the other videos from the ustream page. any that come up under the live icon. i don't know what the deal is. i had the chatroom at one time but no video. is that why it has a 1 star rating?? any help would be great, thanks.

Sorry, Buck. I've been away from the PC for awhile. I don't know why you can't see the feed, I just went to http://www.theactionreport.com/ & it was right there. Just click to go.

Hope you get it to work, I know how it feels to miss out.

Cliff just beat SVB. The game was 8-ball race to 21 w/ Cliff getting 4 on the wire for 2500.......Cliff wins 21 to 13.

I won't be there.Never have been and actually didn't really know much about it at all until singing up here to be honest.I gotta say after watching TAR last night that is one serious billiard scene.I would LOVE to make at least once just to drink it all in.

On a side note,during the intial setup for the match last night there was the usual virtual chat going un with JCIN and crew and someone from compuland asked if you had made the scene yet.The crew at DCC said that hadn't seen you yet,but they sounded you were a lock for some mike time if you made it by. Of coarse your now famous quote came up right away lol.Try to find the guys while your out there...perhaps you are a bit of a celeb,if nowhere else but AZB land.

Lastly...why do you want to know if I was gonna be there?
 
How many did Cliff run towards the end? Shane almost got to even before I fell asleep.
 
As much as I normally love stuff like that, last night was awful.

I had full screen going and still couldn't tell which balls were what and the commentators were busy talking about anything other than the game, so they were of no help, whatsoever.

I went to bed, leaving the game on, hoping I would hear some of what was going on. Maybe then, I might want to get up and see the game. Nope. Nothing going on in the game that was interesting enough for them to discuss, so I finally went to sleep. The conversation might have been interesting, but it was seldom about the game. (It was so interesting that I can't even remember any of it, today.)

Commentary should be designed to keep the attention of those watching and keep those who can't watch, but CAN listen, updated.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
 
Commentary on the ppv is much better as well as the picture. What we are watching is just free stuff, so I ll take what I can get.

Yeah, but if the free stuff can't make the game interesting enough, I'm sure not going to pay! Where's the guarantee that says the commentators on the pay side are any better?

You are kidding right?? These guys are doing amazing things for pool, you can't possibly be knocking.

And generally with videos like that, you actually don't want to full screen the feed. It's easier to watch in its original size.

They were so interested in the game that they didnt' see this and missed that and were busier discussing what they missed than what they saw. They were more interested in discussing everything else, which is why they missed so much of the game. Even discussion of the chat was more important than the game. They need to work harder to focus on keeping the interest on the game at hand.

I really enjoyed the first Action Challenge. The commentary on it was great. Made me want to see more and quite willing to pay to see some of the games, as long as it wasn't too much. If I was to go on last night's performance by the commentators, I would prefer to watch golf. And anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely HATE to watch golf.
