Playing at that level and maintaining the competitive edge has to be a big brain drain after awhile. So many of the players are so good that I am amazed any one can be a repeat champion at any thing in pool.

Maybe Shane is just getting burned out on pool. Maybe he just does not have the fire inside him to win, and play his best. Or maybe he is just in a slump.

He came very close 2 times to the world 9 ball title (getting in the finals, against Ko Pin Yi , and then Albin Ouschan the next year)? So, it was back to back 2nd place finishes, in the world 9 ball championships, correct?
 
It is crazy that these pros run 150+ then on the bigfoot challenge when its high pressure would miss some very routine shots. Quite a few 10b misses and even a BIH.
