SVB vs Frost Barbox with 5" Pockets

Why does it matter what wing ball he made on the break. Stick the rock get a shot and your out. Good work Shane.

There is no such thing as pattern racking, when you are hammering the balls on the break. As far as always making the same ball, if I have one that is dropping more often than the others. I am not toooooooooooo superstitious, but common sense tells me to put the same ball, in the same place, for the best results.

If I was Scott, when it was my break, I would have copied what Shane did and where he broke from. After someone gets waxed excuses come out from everywhere. There always has to be some reason the other person lost besides being flat outplayed. Shane did nothing wrong and played great. imo.

Shane just showed us how complete of a player he really is. He showed that he could outplay, outthink, and outclass Scott this weekend. He is a true professional.

Shane, good luck in Florida, and overseas!! See ya soon.

What the hell is wrong with pattern racking anyway? I agree with shane, when you are breaking the balls as hard as they were it doesn't make for much of a point. Granted he was playing the one ball for position on his break but he was sending it 3 rails to get there! He played sporty as hell. No one can take that away. Scott didn't exactly play terrible. He was just shot in. IMO

Just FYI... You may already be aware of this, but Scott did try breaking from the same spot as Shane. He just wasn't able to duplicate any level of success at that spot. So, then he searched for what would work for him. Scott found ways to get a ball made on the break... But wasn't able to get a good shot on the 1 afterwards. Even when he put it all together and parked the cue ball with the one coming to a good spot, often times the last ball moving would roll right inbetween to block him...

That's one of the big reasons that people have stated that Scott couldn't catch a roll.

Overall, that was an amazing display! Great job Shane!

During warm up time Scott tried to break from Shane's spot. It did not work for him. His natural break spot being left handed is from the right side of the table. When he did this on Sunday it helped alot. Sadly it was too late.

Cool - thanks FLICKit and Richardson. I didn't know that. Did Scott put the 8 on the wing?
