'Sweet' by Heather Byer

Anyone else read this book? I have no experinece with the APA league so I've been happy to learn a little bit about it and all the techniques like sadnbagging that are employed, overall it's a boring book compared to a hustler book like "Road Player" or "Playing Off the Rail" but I still enjoy reading it.

Also, did anyone else who read it find it funny when she describes a shot she saw when watching a match between Earl Strickland and GEORGE Bustamante?

I enjoyed it, but it's not about the technical aspects of pool or league play, and isn't intended to be. I think she writes really well.

Yes she writes very well. I just found it hard to believe that a rich yuppie chick in NY would be picking up losers in hole in wall blue collar bars. Johnnyt

Yeah I've almost finished it now, not a terrible book and it's written very well but I defiant'y gotta say I enjoy the more hustler story pool books more.

I finished it last week. It goes a LONG way toward explaining why I will probably NEVER participate in apa. I've watched much the same things she describes in the book in person, and it ain't for me. Yikes, I could go on at length, but I'll try not to. Quite well written, but I don't understand how she didn't pursue pool other than apa league.
