Table Choice

Every tournament I go to there is a Diamond. Last weekend the small Smart Tables were used for an 8 ball tourney, all my buddies love these tables. My question, is it smart to buy one of these tables for personal use? I've been told that 3-piece slate is easier to level and of course easier to handle than 1 piece. Really dont' need the coin-op option. I like the ball return but not really necessay. I want the playability of the Smart table, does Diamond make a home table that plays like the Smart.
I was looking at a 9' Diamond Smart table but quickly decided the cost of shipping and setup would be prohibitive even at a bargin price. Am I tkinking right?

They make the Pro-Am which is really the same as the smart table I believe. www.diamondbilliardproducts.com see commercial tables. . The leveling system in the 1 piece slate Pro-Am is the nuts.

Shipping and setup will run almost the same for either 7' or 9' really.

if price is a factor youd be surprised what you can find out there as far as used tables for reasonable rates......

A diamond 9 ft is probably one of smartest buys, they are very good to play on and they hold there value very well.. I am still waiting for glen(realkingcobra) to bring mine.. been close to 2 months..lol.. you should pm him and i am sure he could find a good buy for you..He will also deliver and set it up for you for a reasonable price.

Table choice?
Anyone want to trade a 9 foot diamond for a 12' Regina in California?

When it comes to Diamonds, that's no choice at all..... it's just good sense.
Especially if you can talk Glen into setting it up for you! (hint, hint)
Go with the Pro-Am, if you can afford it. If not, see what you can find for a good priced used one.
They're out there occasionally-

One thing about Diamond tables that most people dont know is that Diamond will BUY BACK thier tables for a good price not agreat price but a good standard price. Something to think about if you move alot or if you think it's a sport you might only do fo a few years. Now you know thier secret for keeping a good resale value...
