Hey everyone

i bought a pool table couple weeks ago and it's 800 $, and i've two Questions if u plz :

* the cue ball must be bigger than the rest or not ?

* and i've big problem in Draw shot , i know how to do it but i can't
so i think the problem is in my table cloth

is there any solution or i've to change the cloth ?

That appears to be a heavy nappy cloth, you need a "worsted" cloth for spped. Here are some brands of the worsted cloth, Simonis, Velocity Pro, Granito, Milliken, and there are a few others. I just recovered with Velocity Pro to try it out as it was the most inexpensive, and I find it to be a very good cloth and fast.
 
The bigger cueball question will be dependent on the type of ball return you have.

If it is a coin-op where the cueball comes out at a different place than the balls, you may need the big ball.

If you do have a big cueball this could be a source of your draw problem as well. Bigger cueballs are harder to draw. Also, I looks as if you have felt, a Siminos or Brunswick Tour championship cloth would all you to move the cueball easier.

No all my balls are the same size .
 
You should invest in a Aramith pool ball if you don't need a specific size. The heavy (Big) cue balls you are referring too are harder to draw.

You also might have some issues because you are not following through enough. Just something to look into.

I haven't found a cloth yet that I can't draw on, so maybe it's a combination of things.
 
Cloth can be a factor in your drawing IMO unless you have a pro stroke (which I damn sure dont...lol). My brother has an Olio table 8 footer and the cloth on his feels like shag carpet compared to my good friends Diamond 9 footer with Simonis cloth.

Even at league play on the 8 footers the cloth was semi-slow and I couldnt draw as well. They switched to Simonis 860 halfway through the session and I could hit balls from one end to the other and still have a draw stroke and bring the ball back. After playing on Simonis I'd never own a table without it IMHO.
 
I hear ya. Some of the bad tables you have to put a huge stroke on it to get it to work.

I just put Championship 30/30 on my father-in-laws table and it's as good as Simonis. I can shoot this trick shot where I blast a ball into the corner and draw 3 rails around and make another ball. It's pretty nice.

Yes I like the Velocity Pro, got it at www.poolfelt.com , My table is a 9ft and it was $139 , I am not sure on price for an 8 footer.

Never heard of Dazzle cloth, I would stay away from that.
 
First. What is your objective for the table. Do you want to practice for leagues or just play for fun? If you want to use it for practice and you play on bar boxes with the larger CB then you may want to keep the CB that you have whether or not it is oversized. That way you can move the CB the same. It may be a good stroke builder if it is oversized and you use it to practice your draw. If you are just hitting for fun then place 3 regular balls in a row perpendicular to the rail..now replace the one on the rail with your CB and if it doesn't fit you'll know what to do. It never hurts to have another cue ball around anyway.

Second. As to the cloth, make sure that the table is worth the investment of some new cloth first before you get into it. If it is a quality table and you are going to keep it for a while go for it....Nothing beats a quality table set up correctly with nice cloth (in pool terms anyway).

ya that's what i mean my table not a quality table it's 800 $ so i don't want to change my cloth with an expensive cloth , BUT i can't play with this problem in draw shot !!!!!!

I meant place 3 balls (or just 2..easier for me to get a straight line with 3) in a row touching each other perpendicular to the rail and touching the rail also. If you replace the ball on the rail with the CB and it doesn't fit without moving the balls then it shows that it's larger than them. Having a larger CB would make it more difficult to draw, but shouldn't be insurmountable. Practicing draw with the larger CB may be a great stroke builder (IMO=in my opinion).

As to the cost of the table indicating quality. Many good bar tables with slate and good rails go for under $800 and I would surely recover one of those if I intended on keeping it for a while. Good luck

ya i know it's not bad table but i don't want to pay 150 $ on a cloth ,specially i just bought the table couple weeks ago But i think I've to :( :(
