table covers?

First home table, GC II, was thinking about getting cheapest available cover - but then I saw that everything was 3 prices 1) $10-20, 2) $60ish, 3) $100+

Any thoughts on value here - is there a reason to go with a more expensive, if so, how to compare?

Also, noticed a reviewer saying one 9 ft cover spec'd at 129" x 76" not quite big enough for his GC, which gave me pause - I don't have mine delivered yet but I understand outside dimensions of a GC to be 113" x 65" (?). The cheapest covers sold by PoolDawg and Ozone are both spec'd to be 124" x 72". Is there usually a fit issue to deal with?

What do you guys use and recommend?

When I had my gc I bought a 200 texas flag, rusty color kool looking, but heavy and a pain to take off and keep crap off the bottom

I suggest a light one, easy to take off and fold

The one I have for my 10fter is a job to take off amd on, and keep it clean on the bottom, not many options on 10ft covers

Cheap ones keep crap off like expensive ones
Just depends if you want it too look fancy while doing it

I agree. My wife bought me the nice Brunswick leather (maybe pleather?.....probably pleather) table cover. I then keep my old cheaper cover over my Brunswick cover to protect it. It also does not bother me double wrapping my table, 2 covers are cheaper than a 9' Simonis cut of cloth.

I use a medium weight naugahyde cover. It looks nicer than a cheap-o sheet of plastic, and has held up well. I can't remember exactly where I got it, but I think it was in the $75 range.

I prefer the covers that are NOT fitted to the table corners. Just a simple rectangular piece of naugahyde, that drapes over the sides and ends of the table by about 6 inches, or so. That makes it very easy to fold up. It only takes me about a minute (literally) to fold, or spread it back out on the table. I've used covers like this for 15+ years, and I always keep the table covered when not in use.

I used a cover on my GC I but it became a pain to take it on and off. Consequently It hasn't been used in over 15 years.

I found a recommendation to Spa-Mart.com on this site and ordered a cover for a Diamond Pro-am. It fits very well and seems to be well made of good quality plastic. Many sizes/colors and custom available. Mine was about $80. Shipping was SLOW.

How big is a shower curtain? My 7' table came with a cover that is light plastic like a shower curtain. Seems to work and is easy to fold. Not too styleish though but should be cheap!

No, No, No. I learned from experience here....if you happen to have a cat, invest in the thicker one!! Our cat tore through the thin one right to my new felt!!

The PLAN is for the cats never to see the inside of the pool room - but point is well stated!

I could very easily pick up a USMC table cover - I just need to understand $125 vs $12.50 before I do. I already bought the USMC neon clock...

kickin, I like what you did with the score beads...I have a set and wasn't sure where I planned on hanging them after my basement is complete.

Agreed  Going to hand beads in my room too - so much more fun than turning dials!

My wife bought one off Amazon for my bday....I think it was about 50 bucks. Made of Naugahyde. Fits my 9ft GC2 like a glove.
