Do you get any credit for playing on a table that is rated as "very hard". LMAO

I watch allot of videos of people running a 100 or more. And I see balls going in that wouldn't go on my table. Well at least I don't think they would,,,it is hard to say.

Maybe I am getting frustrated because I can't get a run over 40.lol I run in the 30's almost every time, but seems I always leave a ball hanging in the pocket,,that rattled,to end my run.
Take this with a grain of salt,,because If a guy that played this game well ,,,,would probably get on my table,,,run a 100,,,, and ask me what the problem is??? lol

My table is deceiving. I rated it with a formula on this site.Where you take all the measurements and come up with a rating. It rated VH to my surprise.

I say "surprised" because it has a 5" pocket opening. But the shelf is huge!!! A ball inside the opening means little,,,,they hit the shelf and get spit right back out.And if a rail is hit before the pocket,,even on a shallow angle. It is 50/50(at best) that the ball goes in.
I have watched some of my own videos and I amazed that some shots (that hit the rail early) went in the pocket. I have seen so many, that did not go in,that were hit about the same.

OK,,,I'll quit whining and try to shoot a little better!!!

if I run 40-45 on a standard Gold Crown I don't think much of it.
if I did the same on a standard Diamond then I did something.
2 or 3 racks of 9 or 10 ball on the Crown no big deal
same on the Diamond big deal.
Diamonds are much tougher tables due to the longer shelf.
I grew up playing on soft Anniversary tables with 5 " pockets and ran over a 100 balls on them.I have never got past 70 or so on Crowns and 50 on Diamonds.

I hear you and completely understand what you are saying. I have the same problem with my table. It has a wide opening but a very deep shelf. I do believe that good high runs on my table are equal to high runs into the 100's on other tables. Specially watching some of the videos that are posted. I have ended many of good runs because of the pocket shelf. Another thing, I have played on Diamonds and found them to be easier than my table but I would not want any other table than what I have.

Try playing on a table with 3 3/8" pockets that are cut NOT to accept the balls and fast cloth. I couldn't run more than 10 balls at a time. A table like that is good for 1 Pocket but SUCKS for 14.1.... LOL!!
