table Imperial or Olhausen

Regardless of what table you get, the fact that you are willing to make that kind of a donation to a senior center is a wonderful thing. You and your wife are setting a beautiful example for others and you deserve much admiration and respect.

The search continues......Looked at an Olhausesen, was told it was an 8 but was an 8. I also checked on a 9 foot AE Schmidt, looked okay but played terrible, needs new cushions for sure. I do not know much about this brand so any input is welcome. A local biz is getting an OS Gandy 8 footer this week, commercial style. I have read a bunch about Big Gs,not many liked them. I know I played on e few decades ago. I can get it delivered and set up with Simonis for about $1800. I think this would be better than the Schmidt.

If you're not in a big rush to buy i's hold-out for a used Gold Crown. They're out there. A lot of places are switching to Diamonds and are selling their GC's. I wouldn't spend 1800bux on a BigG.

AE Schmidt tables are good and depending on the age of the table and use, the cushions more than likely need to be replaced. Most senior centers have 8 ft tables as the 9 ft tables may present a challenge to those that may be visually impaired. Either way I was taught never to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Nice of you to do this...much respect.
