Hello, I was just curious if anyone happened to have any background information regarding this company. Recently, I bought a table off craigslist. I wasn't sure what it was,but it played well enough for the price ($200) for me to pickup. I just put it together in my garage and I have some work yet to do around it.

The only information I have on it was that it was originally built january 11, 1938 by a guy named P.Wolfersburg, and its from a company in columbus, ohio called independant supply co. The table is 8x4 and the slate is 3 piece 1 1/8th inch thick.

The table plays pretty good for what I have in it,and the guy had a set of centennial balls he threw in so for 200 bucks I felt it was worth it. Sorry about the huge pictures. I just got the camera today, and am not a photographer by any means. Thanks for any background info.

I've never heard of it but it looks like a nice table. Good find. They built them pretty solid back then.

Thank you,yes it is a tank. Plays well enough for me atm. The balls offset the price that I paid for it nearly. I'm glad to finally get to play more.

That looks very similar to an old National to me. Is it possible this one of those tables that had the nameplate changed to show the dealer that sold it, rather than the company that built it?

Anything is possible. The only info I know is that I was told that was where it was bought at. Anything distinguishing marks I should look out for? Thanks.
