LOOKs bad in the pictures,

try capturing light in a photo, it LOOKS like a spot, but no customers have complained or said anything about a spot

its just the photographing that does that,

there is no circle of light on the table

But we all have our own tastes and that's fine

Light size vs. table size

So are you saying that one 2 x 4 panel works equally well for 7', 8', 9' and 10' tables?

Some say looks to bright some think you need 2 panels for 9ft table

But the customers are satisfied that's why I keep on selling them

people just want the brightest.

The tables these lights are used on prolly ain't gettin Dennis and Shane's action.

I know these rules spec out lighting but I've always felt that a bit silly to be honest,

"it's just a light".

this is for personal use.

The owner operator of fat Alberts billiards, Don't think he's at all worried about a lighting spec much.

Does an extra bright light give you an advantage? One that the other player doesn't get?

Color Temp Matters - Too Blue or Yellow is distracting in a home or business.
CRI Matters - Odd Colors to balls and cloth.
Lux Matters - Too Harsh or too Dim

It's more than "a light".

Most people do not know of the choices available.

Too Short - Shawdows at ends of table.
The panels need to be in a frame to direct the light and stop side glare.
Looks better, easier to hang.
Three sets of chains to hang a panel under 10 pounds?
Ugly.

Here is my light. Made to match the 9' Anniversary table. Made up of two LED panel lights from Wala. Both can be controlled in brightness and color but I leave it on the brightest. I found two long pieces of popular and cut them to encompass the panels. Had them kerfed like the blinds on an Anniversary and the guy that refinished the table did the boards at the same time. Wala lights includes a neat thin cable system to hang the lights and if you look hard you can see them in the pictures. Easily adjustable and about as slick of hanging system as possible. The cord to plug it in on the other hand is ugly but what could I do?

Great setup, the only thing you could have done with the chord, something one of my customers did was make sure to have enough and run it up along one of the hanging wires

True, but I had the electrician put the outlet box centered over where the table was going to go so if the cord ran up one of the cables, then it would have to go across the ceiling half the length of the light to the outlet. I don't mind it but my wife complained for a bit. One note that made this a little bit tough. The outside boards must be longer than 8' because the two panels end to end are 8'. That might make the boards hard to find. I love this light! When I go elsewhere to play, I miss my light. Old farts need light!

Thought I posted these already here today
